Is there anyway out of the psychosis without stopping? No.
And guess what! The brain of a Meth addict never ever fully recovers from the abuse.
Curb his dementia? Hide heavy blunt objects and sharp knives. Put nutritional supplements in his drinks. I don't know.
You can not reason with a person using Meth. They already know the drug is killing them, isolating them, and ruining their lives. I would not worry about it too much because they will be dead soon if they are injecting 2daily.

The indicators of methamphetamine-induced psyshosis are:

-- Hallucinations -- Similar to what you see in schizophrenia.

-- Delusions -- False beliefs that are inconsistent with a person's background.

-- Paranoia -- Feelings of persecution and that others are out to get them.

-- Obsessions -- Compulsive or repetitive behavior.

These symptoms usually occur after prolonged intravenous use. By the time an addict is this far gone, simply discontinuing use of the drug may not be enough to stop the psychotic symptoms. Anti-psychotic drugs, such as haldol, are used in treatment.
