College DORMS?

Question

I have questions about college dorms?
Are the guys showers private or is it all in one big room?
How/when does one masturbate or have sex with a girl in such small room with a roomate? Do you do it front of the roomate?
Is it rude to hang out in your underwear and should I always be dressed in front of a roomate?
Finally can I borrow my roomates clothes like I used to borrow my brothers or is that also a nono?

In my dorm, the showers were communal (one giant shower) but each showerhead had a curtain ring around it, but no curtain. I guess they took the curtains out, but they were supposed to be there. Showering between 8 AM - 10 AM was always the busiest, and in the middle of the night there was hardly anyone there, however some of the guys would get drunk and pull pranks at that hour so you might want to avoid that.

My roomate and I became best friends in college, it was bound to happen since we slept in bunkbeds. I felt like a little kid all over again sometimes. After we got to know each other, we were comfortable being nude in front of each other and that didn't matter. I think we shared clothes sometimes, however it was usually he who took mine when he didnt have anything clean to wear.

Masturbation and sex? My roomate's girlfriend was a good friend of mine and he and she had sex a couple times in our dorm room while I was there. It actually turned me on, but all three of us were drunk at the time. Most of the time we did these things with the other one gone, and actually we started renting hotel rooms for chicks towards the end of the semester.

If you have never had brothers or had close male friends then the dorms is going to be a scary place for you. You might consider off campus housing which has more privacy.

The showers are divided and seperated by curtains/walls. However, it's been my experience that the curtains leave gaps.

Jack it in the shower, or in your room while your roomie is away. Know that he's going to be gone for longer than it takes you. Now, a buddy of mine had a roomie that was an effing perv and would start wanking whenever he wanted. The Victoria's secret catalog would get there, and whether or not you were their, he'd pull it out and start tuggin away. Also, I've banged a few chicks in the showers, and in rooms while their/my roomie was "sleeping". Whether they heard or cared I really didn't care, but then I was generally loaded and I usually like an audience. You could work out the signal thing, but one of the fun times in college is finding unusual places to do it that you might get caught. The showers are very popular.

Nudity in front of your roomies is normal. If they don't like it, they can look the other way. But if you mean tightie whities, then for the love of God, get some grown-up underwear. Boxers and boxer/breifs are what you need. And yeah, you can walk around the whole dorm, not just your room in them. No prob.

Borrowing clothes between heterosexual males is generally frowned upon. There are circumstances where it's normal and ok, but they are few and far between.

I lived in a guys dorm many years ago and usually there are private stalls to shower with or without a curtain. Usually you work out with your roommate a time schedule for girls in your room and as far as doing your own thing (keep it private, dude). And NO , no wanking in front of your roommate unless your both gay. You can walk around in your underwear for short periods of time, but don't make it for hours. And you can get dressed and undressed in your room with your roommate there, but always have your back to him. And NO, do not borrow your roommate's clothes. Only exception, maybe an old T-shirt if you're out before laundry day.

Are you anywhere near college age? The showers have stalls (at least the girls do), not a big room, it would be disrespectful of yourself, your girlfriend and your roommate to masturbate or have sex with someone else in the room, it was also be disrespectful to walk around in your underwear and to borrow clothes without asking. You're in a very small space and you must respect each other.

1.) As far as I know, most dorms have private showers...
2.) Do all that crud when your roommate is gone for the night.
3.) Only hang out in your underwear in your dorm... and if your roommate opposes, then wear clothes.
4.) Ask before you borrow any clothes.

In my dorm, it was one big shower room -- but they later added dividers.
Usually you work out a signal, like tie something on the doorknob to say you are having sex and need the room.
Hanging out in your underwear is okay. Masturbating probably not unless you and he are really liberal.
Sharing clothes -- My roommate and I never did it but you and your roommate can work it out.
