Hopefully the two are not mutually exclusive - in an ideal world someone who I love and someone who loves me but it doesn't always work out like that. If you love someone and they don't love you back you can end up idolising them or they may take advantage of you. It is better to be with someone who loves you and make sure you don't take advantage of that person. I personally find affection and loving kindness very endearing and may end up loving back. Love isn't always at first sight, sometimes it grows on you.

If it's not mutual, it's a waste of time. Obviously, if you are bewitched by someone wether or not he loves you, you will feel very good, but not for too long if you are not loved in return.

Done both. One sided love just hurts in the end. But I think absolutely I have to love him.
