I am a single mother. I have 3 children with 2 fathers. I didn't ask to be in this position. Things happen and you move on. Your just more carefull. I am not sick in the head, just ran into some bad luck. Maybe you shouldn't view people this way, but rather look at individual situations. Everyone has a reason for their actions. Everyones life has a story.

No one plans the kind of life you described. If somebody makes the choice to have 2 children by 2 different men or 3 children by 3 different men it doesn't make them sick. Perhaps the children are a result of the person finding themselves.
I have a friend with 5 kids, 5 fathers. No, I don't like the men she chose but every time she picked one she thought it was a good choice and they ended up having a baby then she discovered the truth.
I have decided not to judge her life because although it impacts mine it is a choice I made to be there for her. We don't have a right to judge these women because none of us offer up our life's indiscretions to be judged. Just because you can SEE her children and assume they have different fathers doesn't mean you haven't done things in your life that would be considered to be bad choices. Work on yourself and don't worry about others.

Interesting situation. Women who choose to put themselves out simply as breeding stock have deep psychological issues and need their reproductive privileges revoked. But what about men who do the same thing, fathering multiple children by multiple women without any regard for either the women or the children they bear? Moreover, these men are by no means physically bound to accept any responsibility for the products of such unions.
People need licenses to do almost anything nowadays; maybe (hopefully) we'll reach a point one day where childbearing and reproducing requires a license as well.

I was a single mother with 2 children with different fathers. I had my first son at 19 and about 6mos later I kicked his father to the curb. Went to college got my degree. Meet a guy and had a child with at the age of 25, we planned to get married and then found out that he was doing drugs so i kicked him to the curb. Not all single mother with mulitple fathers are living on welfare. I have worked very hard to make sure my kids living a good life. I put myself though college and worked to support my son and me. I never got any help at all from welfare, and no my parents were not made of money. I was the one who had the baby not the state so it was my responsibility. I never got any help at all from my kids dads nor I wanted their help. People like you make me mad that you judge single mothers like that. It's very hard being a single mom with no help. Everything is on your shoulders and no one else. You trying being a single mom or father and see if you should be tied in a straight jacket!!!

It takes two to get pregnant. If a man is dating a women that has multiple kids by different men wouldn't you think she was irresponsible and the man should be smart enough to use protection. I would not want to go out trying to get child support from all of those guys. There are so many birth control methods out there.

I don,t think single mothers are. I think they are making choices with men. They need help not judgement. They probably hope that the man they are with is the right one and want a good relationship but make bad choices. They need help and support as it may be something to do with their past, they may have bad fathers figures, or mothers. This is a much deeper problem than it seems, and they need to value themselves in order to attract the right sort of partner. Often they experience domestic violence.

Not ALL single mothers choose to be single. They get caught up with the wrong, irresponsible men who don't WANT to father these children. SOME do it to get child support, those ones are in the wrong and need a chastity belt put on permanently!

that s harsh> in most of the cases i have seen this happen, these women believe that if she has this mans baby he will stay and provide for the other children. women who think this way should seek counseling, this is a form of low self esteem. but the same thing goes for men who feel that they have to have a baby with every girlfriend they have. It doesn't make you macho. CUTS LIKE A DOUBLE EDGE SWORD.

Thats a little strong.
Some women simply want children without wanting/needing a man. Nothing wrong with that. But there are more mature responsible ways of going about it.

I cant believe some one would even attempt to have a child without a husband first. all children need a mom and a dad. if this were not true God would not have made it this way. and if that is not convincing enough look at how the kids are screwed up when put in a home with no mom and dad.
