I'm no Zidane follower but I am a fan. (A 15 year old girl fan.)
Zidane's a hell of a great player...
I don't fail to see that he's responsible for his own action, he's very much responsible, but he apologised to the world what can you ask for more, he's doing the time for his crime and so I'm forgiving him. He deserves it.
Zidane's not a perfect man, neither is Matterazzi or any other soccer player.
I do howerver, think that Matterazzi should have gotten a yellow card. That's not because I'm French-ish, it's because I've been warned on the soccer field myself for saying words like sh*t because I was mad at myself.
If I've been warned for that, I think anyone who calls someone else's mother/sister a prostitute deserves at least a yellow card.
I also know that Zidane deserved that red card.
I am very sad to see him leave the soccer-world this way. Cried for an hour after the game actually. And I'm still not sure if it's because of Zidane or the fact that France lost.
Everybody does this kind of things... I've seen tapes of Matterazzi sacking other players and getting one or two red cards in horrible ways himself. Zidane just happened to do it at the worst possible time when the game was broadcast international and when 3 quarters opf the world was watching.
I didn't know for quite some time that Matterazzi sacked a player... And I'm sure most of the people on this planet don't, maybe even because Matterazzi's just not as big as Zizou. I'm sure others did it as well.
Anyways forgive me if I'm slipping off topic but I think that's pretty much what I have to say.

1. I am a Zidane fan, and I never denied that he is responsible for his own actions. He was provoked, he reacted and he is responsible for that.
2. I dont recall saying Materazzi was a cheater, I do recall saying hes a violent player (which he is).
3. Zidane is not my god.

i never accused materizzi of cheating...i don't back up zidane's actions either...i think both were irresponsible in that matter and i think both should've acted and handled the situation as professionals.

Because, if you look carefully, they're all small girls around 15years.
What dou you expect from kids? Intelligence? Maturity?
Or crying, hair pulling?
A waste of everybody's time.
