talking to people of the other sex online?

No. I would not stand for it. It may not be sex, but it is still cheating. If it is something he wouldn't do with me there, or has to hide from me, it is cheating. If my man directed his attentions elsewhere, rahter than into our relationship, I would kick him to the curb. It is called "emotional cheating", and if your guy is doing it, you need to put a stop to it or get rid of him. Don't let him justify it by saying "it's not sex" or make any other excuses. And don't make excuses for him. If he chose you to be with, his behavior should reflect that.

It depends where you guys are at in your marriage. If you both know you are at a stand still point and one of you started chatting with other person online and they gave you a good explanation why, that may be the begin stage of counselling.
