Study for 20-30 minutes and take a break for 5 minutes...

Many people cant concentrate for longer than 20-30 mins....so any information they absorb after that just gets lost!

When u are studying, dont try MEMORISE the information, rather try UNDERSTAND the information...

And when u studying and you start to find your mind wondering and thinking of other things, then STOP and take a break!

(listening to soft background music can also help some people)

After all my chores are done. I would close my bedroom and tell everyone not to disturb you. Turn my mobile off! Decide what I want to study and set a time for studying it. Study it well and then get a pen a paper and write everything down. Any stuff I can't remember, I go back over it.

But be warned! Your whole heart and mind must be focused on it. Don't force yourself to do something you really don't want to do RIGHT NOW!

The best way is to keep yourself up-to-date day by day, keep homework caught up and do a fifteen-minute review session every night. That way you don't have to cram right before the exam.
Copy out any class notes you have afresh, making an outline of the material you've gone over. Ask yourself questions about it and write out the answers, or ask a friend to test you.
Be sure to get plenty of sleep the night before; staying up late to cram just confuses you and you go into the exam tired out, which is no good. Better to have a hot shower or bath and an early night.

A good way to remember things,is to repeat the answer 8 times. Not sure as to why this works, but for whatever reason it seems to work very well with me.

It also comes in handy if you need to be awake at a certain time! If you needed to be at Seven for example, before sleep say to yourself seven x 8 times, It should work, But don't do away with your alarm clock before trying!

i would start with a large piece of paper, and then in the middle put the subject that you need to study for. Then, from memory, make a mind map of all the things that you know about that subject. Then compare it to what you are supposed to know and write that in a different colour, adding to the mindmap. You can use that to see what you know and what you dont.

Why not try recording questions and answers and then when you go to sleep wear earphones and you may be surprised when you find that you have retained the information. Even when you are asleep you brain will still be absorbing the information

crammers - write the question on one side and the answer on the reverse - you can take them anywhere you go and study.

One of the guys suggested the mind map - I like that idea!

read before going in for the exam...its just that simple, the reading plan is left to how hard you want to pass and your reading pattern is a reflection of how well you will perform... generally you should draw a reading plan and stick to it
