My dad and several of the family on his side are crazy wacko's, they believe my husband abuses the children, when I ask them how they know this, they say they see it in the "spirit realm". A sister has made some similar comments. He's a great dad and I know they are freaks. Should I try to preserve the relationships so that the children will know their aunts and grandparents or should I protect them from knowing crazy wacko's by cutting contact?

You may want to limit contact instead of cutting them off completely. As soon as your kids are old enough to understand, you can share with them why you limit contact. Make sure the kids are always directly under your supervision when the wackos are around. You never know what the spirit realm will have to say without you around.

Never cut off contact- the kids may grow up to resent you for it. Instead, tell these relatives that you would like proof of their claims or to just shut up because it's not helping the kids to hear such lies. Be respectful but firm. Don't let them get away with these claims because they could become so obsessed with their beliefs that they might build the lie up in their minds and call Social Services.
Hope this helps and have a great day!!!

omg im so sorry.well,i think that you should talk to all of the wackos first.if they dont understand,or if they wont back off, then i would say,yes cut out a little contact.just because they are family doesnt mean you have to like them right?if your husband does "abuse" your children then they are just stating the facts, but it isnt their business anyway.good luck.hope hapiness find you and the wackos

I'd say cut back on the contact. Maybe they'll realize they're off base. Maybe not. Either way, unless the kids are old enough to realize they're crazy, I'd keep contact to a minimum but not cut it off completely.

Well your right. This is what the bible says of the dangers of that stuff they are into. e-mail me and tell me what you think after observing this:
Leviticus 19:26-28
26Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.
27Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.
28Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.
Leviticus 19:31
31Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
Leviticus 20:6
6And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
Deuteronomy 18:9-14
9When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
10There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.
11Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
13Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.
14For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.
