Letter format is almost all the same for all letters.
Date

Address

Dear.......,

(Body of the letter)

Sincerely,

(your name)

Application means you are writing to say that you want a job.
Order means you are trying to buy something.
Complaint means you did not like something.
A letter to the editor would be published in a paper, so you would say something about a public problem or issue.
Invitation means you are asking someone to a party or something.
Thank you means you are saying you liked something someone did for you.

Now you will have to be a little creative, but if you think about it you will be able to come up with something.

Like for the application, you should say:

I am applying for the position of handyman at your hardware store. I have worked for years in the home building and maintenance field. My address is....... My phone is.....
Please contact me.

Good Luck
