I use Benzoyle Peroxide cream (oxy on the spot/neutrogena on the spot). After washing your face, apply a generous amount of BP to affected area, and I mean a generous amount! Gently rub in, so that you are barely touching your face at all. It will take quite a while to all rub in but it will be worth it! After rubbing in the cream, you may want to moisturise, as BP can dry out your skin at first. Repeat this procedure every day, twice a day (or once a day if you don't have time to dedicate yourself to it in the morning).

Things to remember:

1. Some people are allergic to BP so test drive it first by applying to a small patch of skin.

2. BP will dry out the skin in the first few weeks, which is why some people like to use a moisturiser.

3. The best site in the whole world to go to is www.acne.org. This is where I go and you can talk to other people on the message boards and get loads of advice on how to treat your particular acne. There is loads of product advice and you can meet some really great people! There is also a detailed description of the regime I have described above.

Good luck, I suffer from acne too and have got it under control thanks to acne.org

I have tried Liz Earle but that didn't work much.

Thing is, recently I've only been washing my face with water, yet I haven't had any major spots so far. I reckon this is because I have eaten fruits and yoghurts.

I'd say it is half and half to keep your skin in good condition - what you eat and what you wash your face with.

My friend recommends Super Drug's Tea Tree brand with a passion! I have the stuff myself, but I'm scared of trying it incase it makes my skin bad again.
But so many people say it's good.

Apparently, you're supposed to buy the:
* Face Wash in the tube (not the pump one as it contains soap)
* Cleanser and Toner in the tall bottle
* Cleansing Face Pads in the weird shaped tub
* Face Scrub

I'm sorry I can't recommend them as I haven't tried the products.
Although I feel instead of using a lot of products on your face (as I have done in the past), keep it simple.
If you do get the Tea Tree brand, maybe you should just use the Face Wash.

Drink smoothies and eat healthily. Of course, everyone has chocolate but I've reduced the amount of sweets I usually eat.
It works for me.

Hope it all goes well for you!

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

I had it mildly/moderately on my back and have been takng a herbal thing (I don't know if you call it a remedy or a supplement) called Agnus Castus for about a week and it's already made a big difference! I've got a liquid version that you take twice a day in a drink but you can get pill versions too. My local herbal shop recommended it after I went for advice. It cost me about £8 for a brand called bioforce and there's enough in a 50ml bottle to last a couple of months.

Try St. Ive's Apricot Scrub; it's pretty amazing. It improves your skin more and more, week after week, because the corn-meal, apricot extracts, and salicylic acid in it are exfoliating. Also, try Clean & Clear products, I find that they are the best for controlling oil, which can clog pores and cause breakouts. If over-the-counter products do not work for you though, you may want to visit a dermatologist. And also, remember to stay out of the sun and to not pick at/touch your face that often as your fingers spread around bacteria.

Proactiv, but before you put it all over your face, try it on the underside of your arm, below the elbow. HPe this helps.
The proactiv company has a lot of stuff, you'll probably find something you're willing to try.
