I was thinking about buying a Lotus Elise, but I have never driven one or seen one up close ( we dont have a Lotus dealer where I live ) any way I was thinking about making a trip tomorrow to look at and drive on and maybe buy it. I will be useing it as my every day driver, just wondering if anyone else out there has one and if so is it practical for every day comute.

I have driven one a few times, and I can tell you a couple of things you might like to know. One, I'm 6'1" and found that the seat had awful lower back support. Two, the pedals are so close together that I had to take my shoes off to drive it. Granted I wear size 14 shoes, and I know that european sports cars always have the pedals really close together, but I drive a Saab and don;t have that problem. I know that although it is an exotic and fun car, but I don't know if I would want to drive one everyday.

Have you considered an Aston Martin?
