On reality tv shows, it's perfectly okay for people to sling the word ****** here and there, calling women that for hours. But they can't say the word s.hit? S.hit isn't even being used negatively towards any group of people, it's used to describe things that are inanimate, nonexistent, why can't we say it? It just goes to show that censorship is totally ridiculous.

I too hate all censorship. I think it limits our freedom of speech.

Think of it in a different context.

Standards and practices must be designed and upheld. And they must represent the implied culture of the moment.

That there is a shifting culture is without question and it will always be perceived that the one's who have to filter content are a little behind the times.

This is good. It makes us feel safe.

But it is constantly shifting forward and back and there is no reason to rail against a system that is fluid and in constant change.

Peace.

actually, you'd be extra appropriate off throwing your television out and in no way exposing your youthful daughter to any of it once you're quite in contact about her nicely-being. I hate at the same time as i'm gazing a three-hitter with my 6 365 days previous son (who loves baseball) and that i have for instance the television off at the same time as the categorised classified ads come on because they are promoting perfect battling, beer, and showing previews of sexually express shows. no longer some thing feeds extra garbage into our childrens' heads than television. no longer positive that's Biblically depending although. The Bible is distinctly express in places (that's about genuine existence) and is no longer all acceptable for toddlers both.

I agree with you, and the worst thing is, it's not just television censorship. On television and in movies, there are nude scenes and sex scenese depicting nude women constantly, but God forbid that there be a nude man before our eyes. o_0;;; It's very sad. ><;;;
