hey can u control the pets?

nope, its kinda like unleashed, the pets will do what they want. u can train them to do what u want (ex.~ u can praise them for chasing away people if u want and they will continue to do that). u can interact with them and see their mood, but u cant control them. if u press ctrl+shift+c u will get a cheat box on the top of ur screen. use the cheat Boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true ,then press shift while left clicking the sim/pet. this will give u many options. ur looking for MAKE SIM SELECTABLE. this should make it so u can control the pet.... but im not sure if it will work for the pet since ive only ever used it on sims.... but u can try
*note, when using this cheat, it can ruin/crash ur game. make sure to NEVER force an error. if u get a blue box that give u options make sure u click RESET. not cancle. the best thing to do is to do what u want then turn it off with Boolprop testingCheatsEnabled false

Just like real pets, no. But you can train them to be good pets or let them be wild. :)

i didn't know you could have pets on the sims 2...when did that
