I want to be a singer and everyone says you have to take singing lessons. Do you really have to? I really want my dream to come true...sheesh, thats cheezy. I don't know any place to take lessons. PLease help me out. I put it in the celebrities thingy becuz if i get to be a singer i'll be a celebrity.

my voice is usually compared to vanessa anne hudgens, ashley tisdale combined and sometimes even celine dion between the 3. I can make the same voice as hilary duff but now i think she has no talent anymore.

next week i'll probably record my voice with some song...and post it on www.youtube.com
it might sound bad there but its way better if u hear it in person. I'LL probably ask it as a question to see if ppl like what they hear out my voice.

know how i said it was like vanessa and ashley? It's a lil deeper than that..as in a darker version of them combined...its weird..but jeez-i like it..

You certainly dont have to take lessons if you have talent....but lessons teach you so much more then just vocals....they teach you style and endurance....it is probably suggested but in no way do you HAVE to do it in order to become a singer.

lol
no for me it looked better
when i started singing qoute n' qoute
"professionally" it was a take it and run with it
i sang for my high school jazz band as a jazz singer
i had no idea how good i was. i had been raised on jazz but never really thought about as a career.
then an agent saw a tape of me from the local jazz festival and bam
i was in. wierd huh?
so far i have performed for bill clinton. jon corzine and many other figures

but if you sing like ashley tindale or vanessa hudgens then not much luck
alot of people can force the popsy sound out of their vocal cords

study with a teacher who can teach you to naturally use your voice

I am 13 too! I am a awesome singer and you don't have too take singing lessons first (before becoming actress). Yes for a singer. Do you think that evryone can sing, who acts?

get on american idol. and if ur THAT GOOD better than whatever artists r singing out there now then ull be discovered by an agent eventually as long as u volunteer to sing for ppl at churches weddings, shows, etc. if they dont discover you then ur voice is not outstanding compared to whats already out now.

It would help. Nothing is worse than an actor who thinks they can sing when they really can't.
