Tell that person kindly that you don't want to continue a relationship. If he or she continues to pursue you, don't allow it. Being "just friends' won't work either when one feels more than the other. Cold turkey is best for both of you. It's hard to hurt someone. I've stayed with some boyfriends way too long because they loved me and I didn't want to hurt them. In the end, though, I wasn't doing myself or them any favors. If it isn't right, nothing can change that.

There is NO nice way of saying goodbye to someone who doesn't want to lose you..you just must be firm, say bye, hope we can be friends down the line...then LEAVE and do not look back. That is the only kind way to do it...drawing it out leaves room for hope in the other person..that is cruel to them.
