I too like all sorts, but that of course is within reason, I do not like opera, or country, but most rock, some pop and all different kinds, dance, sometimes trance and so on.

i like guitar based rock with a generous sprinkling of keyboard.most rock from the 60's and 70's- beatles kinks etc.
yes, tull, genesis, supertramp, purple,foreigner etc, some of these bands are still making great music, check em out.
didn't/don't like punk. new romantics suck, specially duran duran!
90's music is all pretty boy/girl- you know cant sing but you look pretty, so you'll do merde!
and as for to days music, all done by computer, cant sing - don't worry the computer will straighten out your off key notes. just dance and look sexy [show your crotch and you can rule the world] till the next one comes along

Love most things with a guitar so rock, indie, folk, acoustic, singer/songwriter. Not the biggest fan of rap/rnb/hip hop/dance. Oh yeah, I like a bit of jazz as well, and some golden oldies!

It's nice to hear that, I try to keep an open mind when it comes to music......a lot of music is sterotyped like country they say is always depressing and Heavy metal is head banging, etc. I don't understand what makes a person like what they do but I do respect that they have their reasons. Music is a beautiful way to express yourself. Although you shouldn't try to shove it down someone's throat, I believe listening to your choice of music mostly has a calming effect on our moods............=D Have a great day!!

same here! i love all genres of music! as long as its a good song (and in certain cases from a certain artist or composer), i don't particuarly care what type it is

id say rock because it covers a lot of subgenres... like british invasion, soft rock, oldies rock (like scorpions, led zeppelin, acdc etc.), oldies pop rock (beatles, monkees (i kno theyre not actually real), guess who... etcetc).... but then theres more like modern rock which includes metal, heavy, punk, etcetcetc. those would also be under alternative.... so i guess most people like rock? (including new and old)
