There is no such things as Ideal Government. However, there is a concept of a good govenment, A GOVERNMENT FOR THE PEOPLE AND BY THE PEOPLE. This type of govenment is the most ideal for all. Why?
Because of the following Ideal Thoughts
1) Conflict Free Politics.
2) Problem Free Administration - an ability to prevent conflicting problems
3) Simplified Administration and Low Taxation
4) Automation in Administration through Natural Law
5) Ideal Education which offers the fruit of all knowledge to everyone - a mistake-free life in enlightenment and fulfillment
6) Prevention Oriented Health Care to Create a Disease-Free Society
7) Invincible Defense - to disallow the birth of an enemy
8) Flourishing Economy- self-sufficient, debt-free, and progressive
9) Stress-Free, Pollution-Free Industry
10) Healthy Agriculture without poisonous fertilizers
11) Naturally Law Abiding Citizens and a Crime-Free Society
I must tell you frankly, that, it is man who runs the government and not God. Man are suseptible to idealogy, greediness and self ambitions, and compromises.
A person who should manage an Ideal Government must fear the Lord of Host, that he may enforce that what is good and acceptable to God and man.

That is an easy one. Take what we have now, put in term limits so that you can only serve one term in either the House or Senate, and cannot hold another office, unless you run for President.
You can have two terms as President even in time of war.
All pay raises and taxes must be voted on by the public. Congress cannot just raise taxes or give themselves automatic pay raises. Congress cannot spend more money than they take in yearly.
All elected officials will pay into Social Security instead of their handy dandy retirement system that pays big bucks at our expense.
Social security will be for people who retire. NO SSI for anyone who comes immigrates into this country. To get SSI, you would have to have payed in for at least 20 years.
Welfare would be for one year, at which time, you will have to get a job and go to work. Having multiple babies wont win you any more welfare.
This would put us on the road going in the right direction. Less crocked politicians, and those who got in, would not be there very long. Americans would have full say in taxes and such, eliminating these so called special interest groups and politicians lining their pockets.

Just take a look to Sweden, Extremes are never good in anything, Communism proved it, it is gone. The other extreme is Capitalism which U.S.A. is the best representative, There has to be something in between, where you can have hopes and dreams and the honest man can be happy and look forward to the day when he retires, can go to the doctor without having to rob a bank, and stay home the day he is sick without having to put a second mortgage in the home, or skip a car payment. there are so many faults on this system but we are used to them like we get used to the alcoholic father or the abusive husband. We hope for the American dream, why do you think it is called "a dream"?? And god forbids you get sick in your old days, in a few months that dream evaporates in the pockets of doctors and hospitals and pharmaceutical corporations. Something is wrong in a system where so many have to choose between eating or buying the medicine. Look up to Sweeden,

U.S. Govt and just about any other government of a large political entity is nearly exclusively in the hands of a rich elitist group. My ideal government would be far more along the lines of a town meeting with most decisions made quite locally. I would very much like to see a way to experiment with minimizing taxation and maximizing paying for services as you go. I wonder if the average person would be better or worse off in the long run.

I personally like a diversity in political parties. Supposedly it keeps a balance but that obviously doesn't always work. I think the ideal government is a simple concept actually. Standing for whatever principles your party represents but at the same time being humble enough to do what's right for the nation and not just the party. Elected officials who are intelligent and open minded with more of a "world" view and not JUST one centered around our nation. It's a tough balancing act but I don't think it's by any means unacheivable.

Think Canada. I am a little bias, but I think the parliamentary system there is the best government in the world. There are two main parties but the DNP and Bloc can make moves to get more seats. The Parliamentary System is the way to go.

Libertarian. Absolutely mininal laws, law enforcement only to protect property and liberty rights and preserve life, minimal taxation, maximum personal freedoms -- people can do just about whatever they want, as long as nobody else gets hurt and everyone else gets the same freedoms.

a politician that answers a question fully and honestly without avoiding the simply yes or no answer would be a good place to start but seeing as politicians worldwide seem to go to for avoiding a basic question no matter what, i dont think they are 100% trustworthy or upstanding as they think the public think they are .
