They may serve as examples of what we may NOT want to do. If we study other societies, we can see how their actions effect their quality of life and maybe either repeat or NOT repeat their processes. Studying these things can also give us insight as to how to deal and interact with other societies and individuals so that we can possibly get along better. I hope that understanding can breed better social interaction. Besides, I find it fascinating.

Both help us understand how different societies evolve, interact, transform, or merge. It helps us understand ourselves within groups of persons, it helps us understand massive movements, why people join together for a same cause. It can contribute to the understanding of different problems in different societies, as well as what can be done to solve them. Sociology and anthropology are very important.

Sociology and Anthropology have ABSOLUTELY NO BEARING ON EVERYDAY LIFE. They are college subjects that 90% of people in "everyday life" can't even pronounce, much less spell. They are pseudo-sciences invented to dissect and categorize events that occur naturally, and consequently exist completely outside of anything that could be called normal.

But as such, these subjects, like many other University programs, serve as examples of man's desperate attempts to make sense of the infinite complexity of his own circumstances.

it is really very important for us to have those --- it helps living a normal life and to have normal responses to each individual in the society.
