if he did shave them off then he needs to let them grow back and keep them in control by plucking or going to a salon. i no this is girly but he needs to understand that shaving them totally off can hurt him in the long run

Heard of it yes, recommend it no. GO TO A SALON and get them waxed. Not an expensive procedure at all. Yes, guys are starting to do this!!!!!
