i hear that too, but i heard he will die in one of the next books
i have read all the books (up until the latest one - the fifth one i think it is) and he has not died yet - but another main character has!!
and the movies, they've only just did the third one or something like that, right, so it will be a while before he dies on the big screen, if the rumour is true

JK rowling said in interview that Harry Potter will survive the 7 books (b/c she doesn't wanna be killed by fans)
but she dropped a clue and said that there was no guarrantee he would make it to adult age though

He wont die in the next movie because the next movie coming out is the fifth one and doesnt die in that book. But ive heard he might die in the seventh book that JK is writing

He cant die in the movie, because they last book isn't out yet, and he didn't die in the order of the phoenix, so why would he die in the movie?

it says in the last book that either voldemort or harry can survive. (not both of em) and I doubt voldemort will, so harry has to. but i also heard theory that he could be horcrux, and that jk said he might not reach adulthood. oh and heard that last word in the last book is 'scar'

Of course he dies, in an act of self sacrafice to save his friends, the people he cares about. Taking Tom Riddle with him, into the archway of oblivion in the basement of the ministry of magic.

Two of the characters will die, but we don't know which ones. Maybe Harry...maybe not.

the movies go by the books and i read on some article when jk roweling was interviewed about the 7th book, that harry and his two friends were going to live and a bunch of other stuff.

Harry "dies" yet comes decrease back to existence because of the fact while Voldemort forged the killing curse he became purely killing the horcrux that became in Harry (Harry is the seventh horcrux.) contained in the epilogue he marries Ginny and has 3 toddlers: Lily, James, and Albus Severus.
