yes i was shocked..but i am sure he is at peace because he died doing something that he loved...knowing the crocodile hunter...he wouldn't of wanted to die any other way...just a shame he was so young, and leaves behind a wife and 2 kids

I'm just shocked that he was so young...only 44. I'm not surprised that he died from being attacked by a dangerous animal...I kind of figured that one day, one of them would get the best of him, although they say that a stingray attack is very rare, and rarer still that someone would die from it, but Steve Irwin was always one to go boldly where not many others would go...but I'm still sad. He was a great guy! I feel such sympathy for his wife and two children...this will surely be a tough time for them. I hope that their friends and family will be there for them and that the media treats this with dignity and respects the family in their time of mourning. All I can say is, God bless his family. We should definitely keep them in our prayers. ~

I'm not shocked by the fact that he met an early death, given his love for wild animals and the interactions he had with them. However, I'm shocked by the fact that it was in such an unusual manner when comparing a sting ray to all the other animals he's profiled.

I am not really surprised. It was bound to happen sooner or later. I just happened to be sooner. Although entertaining, the guy's cheese was teetering on the edge of his cracker. Any guy who would do half of the things this guy does on a daily basis is completely nuts. If you were face to face with a deadly snake, you'd be pissing your pants, he'd try to piss it off. Hello, sweet sanity.

In a way, I always thought it would be a snake or crocidile that would get him, not a sting ray of all things!
