I have subscribed to TalkTalk at the end of June and am still waiting on my Welcome pack for free broadband. Am I wasting my time or can I hear some positive stories which will reassure me that it'll arrive soon? I was told I would have it by the end of August but nothing has come. Calling the call centre is such a waste of time because you just get passed about from person to person and no one ever seems to get anything done!!!

I got my internet connection changed from BT to TalkTalk not so long ago and it was terrible. Their connection was bad, the modem they sent was faulty and when i sent it back it took upto 3 weeks before i got a new one sent back to me. And when i tried to call their customer services each time i was put on hold for upto 45 mins. So when i finally decided to change back to BT ,TalkTalk took ages to reconect me and even though i cancelled my membership with them they still sent a monthly bill when i wasnt even using the internet.

I Have Talk Talk Broadband and line rental package @ £22 p.m.
Everything is brilliant. The modem worked fine and I have no complaints. I have now installed a WiFi router and have 3 PCs sharing the same connection, bandwidth / up & download speeds are excellent.
It is possible that demand for the service has been greater than they anticipated and talk talk are behind schedule but be patient, it's worth waiting for.

They are a crooked company, the only offer broadband package in certain areas and they are not planning on upgrading so basically i would have to pay for my broadband with them and it would work out a lot dearer than the company i'm with. my fiend lives 15 miles away and they get the free broadband which is not right and se had a nightmare trying to get it so was about to cancel when they finally got her set up.

seems like you need your order ref no.

http://www.talktalk.co.uk/talktalk/servlet/gben-LLU-PageServer?article=MAIN.UK.TALKTALK.STATIC.HELP.ORDERTRACKING

and then track the status of your order and read the info given on this page...seems like if you try and cancel you may get a charge incurred..

Nothing in life is free...tying you into a 18 month contract is first downfall...and the trouble with car phone warehouse is they forward everything to their recovery agency BCW of Glasgow and are very fast to put you on the bad credit list if you default or they feel your going to default...even if its breaking a contract because of bad service....and even if they have lost a payment...then if you don't quote ref number in every piece of correspondance they return the letter (not the payment) without paying full postage incurring a further £1 handling fee from Royal mail....and then refuse to refund those costs..... and basically ignore what customers say...AVOID them at all costs.

IMHO

Don't bother.. You're better off elsewhere, they don't have a clue what they are doing.
