Cant, no, impossible.....these r the words i HATE when it comes to science.....anything u think, imagine, IS POSSIBLE......there is no limit to imagination and human abilities...
.talking scientifically, maybe in future we will be able to invent/discover a kind of matter which would have some weird kind of effect on the fabric of space time, it would warp it in such a way that we would be able to travel in the past or even in the future, through some special instruments....
Maybe, when we travel more than the speed of light, it would have some effect on time, and we will be able to harness that, to travel accross time....
Maybe a combination of the two.......?
there's no end to beleifs, thoughts, possibilities.......
But i beleive that we will be able to.....maybe in 1000yrs or less.....or maybe in the next 10yrs.....no one knows....but we will someday.....

No, I don't think it can because I thought of this... you see I go by a rule that everything has to have a past in order to have a present and a future. So to speak if one travels to the future there will no sign (presence) of that person in the present anymore. And if there is no present then how is there a past. Things just can't appear out of thin air (well... that's how my scientific mind thinks... I'm only 14, I'll figure this out in later year... who knows... it might even be possible)

The problem with time travel is the paradox it presents. If you travel back in time and kill your grandfather would you exist to be able to do it? Would a new time line start with a different future?
Maybe we will discover a way to view the past and not interact with it. If we saw the future could we change the present which would change the future?

Time is an illusion. It's not something tangible or intangible that can be manipulated by any means.
There is no past, there is no future, just the moment we are in now; and that moment continous on, and on. Information and things in the past cannot be changed to affect the future because it doesn't exist (and neither does the future).
When a clock ticks, it's just the second hand stopping for a programmed interval and then going up a notch. It's not based on or manipulating something as if to measure it.
That's one theory. :)

Sure, we are traveling through time as I write this, albeit at a snails pace. If you mean time travel as in far into the past or into the future, that is unfortunately, still just science fiction.

We travel in time as we progress from the present to the future, but there is not nor can there be time travel to the past or into the distant future

I have mastered the art of time travel, however, I can only do it in one direction at a slow steady pace (about 24 hours/ day.)

No. It's not impossible, but I really think if it was every single time would be full of scientists or tourists (or both). Besides, physics doesn't seem to allow for it.

I think that given the right circumstances it may be possible.Right now there are many scientists working on the possibility.
