I'm guessing that she's worried and over-protective. She may not like or trust your boyfriend. She may be worried that you're moving toward (or already) sexually active and feels you're not ready.

Asking to have a mature conversation - no fighting or arguing her points - seems like a good idea. Make it clear that you won't argue - that you're just looking to understand.

Speaking from a parents point of view we have all kinds of reasons. I am a parent of a 16 year old. She complains that she never gets to do anything. She does but she thinks she needs to go somewhere everyday. Your parents have seen and heard alot of things in their lives. They are scared that these things will happen to you. Child molesters, drugs, abducters, bombings just to name a few. We are just trying to keep you safe. We don't want you to be a mother/father before you get a chance to be a kid. My daughter goes to games and she spends time with her boyfriend. I trust her, but I don't trust some of the people she knows. When you grow up and have kids you will be the same way. Don't say you won't. I did....and I am.

Here is the deal! Your mom is concerned becuase she does not want you to screw up! Plan and simple! It could be that she trust you with the world but some of your homies can be as*****s and mom knows it. So it could be she wants to look out for you becuse she loves you and would feel like a bad parent if she screwed up because YOU screwed up.

Be cool with this it is a MOM thing, and some day you will do the same for your child!

Yes I completely agree with your mom but this is something you will fully understand when you're over 21. Be patient! I hear you... I had the exact same feeling but now I understand. Give your mom a chance. Do what she wants for a bit and she'll stop harrassing you. Hope this helps.

No one can speak for your mother. Only she can answer this question for you. Each parent/child relationship is different. Talk to your mother.

Because if she lets you do something which gets you hurt or worse she would NEVER forgive herself. Your good health & welfare are dependent on her good decisions.
