I don't see many snakes now since I'm living in a residental area with alot of homes, but I'm afraid that when we move in on a 2 acre chunk of land ,that there will be more snakes. My husband and father in-law say they see them in the garden almost every morning!!!!

If you have a fear of snakes..
Would you stay where you're at or would you move in on 2 acres where there is a garden close by and snakes in the morning???

I know some people have an unreasonable fear of snakes. To overcome fears of any kind it is usually best to learn all you can about what you fear so that you understand how to deal with it. in the case of snakes you need to understand what kind of snakes you generally have in your area and what habits they have. usually a snake will try to avoid humans by moving away when you approach. Snakes generally will not become agressive unless they feel trapped without any way to escape. If you encounter a snake, just move away and you both will be happy. When walking around your property be watchful that you do not walk on or near a snake. On 2 acres it is not hard to keep grass and weeds under control which will make it very easy to see if there in a snake in your area. Keep in mind you do not want to kill a snake as they keep undesirable rodents etc. under control.
