i have been getting warnings by my boss saying that shez fed up of my jokes etc...the last warning i got when...she came to all of us (colleauges)..and said "v have to leave the office early coz the pest control guys are going to come"....and i sort of yelled saying "OH !...THEN LETS RUN FOR OUR LIVES !!.."...LOL ..
and she gave me a warning...i mean..cant we have fun in the office?..

Yep. People should be able to have fun in the office, as long as it doesn't prevent the work from getting done.
Some studies have shown that employees who have fun at work are more productive, give better customer service, stay in their jobs longer, and so on.
It seems like your boss doesn't have much of a sense of humor.
Best thing you can do is cut out the joking. If you want to have a little more fun at work, maybe it's time to start looking for another job.

Obviously, you don't share the same sense of humor. It sounds like if you want to keep your job, you should get a little more serious at work. Have fun with your friends outside of the office. Good Luck!

Theres a time & place for everything.... But..... at the work place you need to express some professionalism. Im sure thats why the boss is a bit up tight.....
When you're off the clock, though, thats when ya let it alllllll hang out!! LOL

You can have all the fun you want, but if it's going to jeapordize your job, you might want to make the jokes fewer and further between, if you know what I mean. Or, just keep it between you and some co-workers. Sounds like she's kind of uptight.

That's HILARIOUS! I guess not 'cause my husband recently got fired for something very stupid & I told him the real reason was really 'cause the way he would make jokes all the time. I guess I'm lucky where I work that's all we do is cut up.
