The Kangaroo is an herbivore.
Diet
Kangaroos are large herbivores, feeding on grass and roots, and they chew cud. Their heads in fact look much like those of llamas. All species are nocturnal and crepuscular, usually spending the days idling quietly and the cool evenings, nights and mornings moving about and feeding, typically in mobs.
however in the past there was Propleopus, carnivorous kangaroo during the pliocene and pleistocene periods (e.g. giant rat kangaroo)

NO!
No animals are vegetarians. Only humans can be vegetarians.
The terrestrial kangaroos are largely HERBIVOROUS, which is very different to being vegetarian.
The tree kangaroos are OMNIVOROUS and regularly supplement their diet with insects, nestling birds and small mammals.

Kangaroos are browsing animals, feeding on grass and other vegetation. They happily graze alongside sheep or cattle, and farmers consider them pests.

No Herbivorous.
I suspect most herbivours would suffer some deficiency if they never ate incidental insects on the grass, leavs etc.
