Look people, a stingray killed a man, big deal. Cars kill thousands daily on the highways and I don't hear people making a big deal out of that!!!

Steve Irwin was an entertainer who loved animals. He played with snakes, crocs and anything else to include sharks. Any of those could have killed him.

It was his time and a sting ray took him out. He would have wanted to go that way instead of a long lingering death from say cancer or a stroke.

Get real and accept the fact that people die every day. I agree it is too bad Steve had to die, but he was one out of several thousand who died yesterday.

Remember his legacy, what he did for animals and the knowledge he shared with everyone.

Sheesh! I wonder if he'd call them "little beauties" now!

But Steve wouldn't want them to die. He'd love them anyway. We should do the same. But I will never look at sting rays the same way again...

Kid, Irwin was in their domain and stepped on one. It's like hating sharks, which is wrong. If you go into their domain (the ocean) then you run the risk of getting injured - or worse - by one of them. That simple. The ray was only doing what nature made it to do. Irwin would have understood this fact.

Yes, we will all miss him. I don't think he would want you to hate Sting Rays.

You cannot blame the animal.

Sting Ray's and any other animal for that matter do whatever they have to do when they are threatened.

Steve Irwin would not want us to hate the animal!

Don't blam the stingrays. This guy was an advocite for animals he wouldnt want any harm to come to any of his beloved aimals. He grew up knowing the danger he took risks. For what he loved. He died doing what he loved to do.

Just because one killed him doesn't make them bad. Animals and sea life hurt humans all the time. Yes it is extreamly sad that he lost his life and his poor family must face this head on. It is by no means the fault of the animal. We did in fact go into its habitat! they didn't come into ours!
