We didn't. It was all done in a studio in Hollywood to give Kennedy some good press after the Bay of Pigs incident. a classic example of a presidency hiding something bad my creating something new for the public and media to focus on. Does anyone remember what the contoversy with Dubya was right before the war that we never really got an answer to? Of course you don't, you're not supposed to because the war has taken up most of your attentions for the past few years.

I do, what I dont understand is why so many people do not believe it. I lived in florida at the time and I have seen many times the shuttle going here and there. Why do some people have a hard time believing that space travel is posssible. If it is out there then why can we not go...

not me, u got me thinking now, how big is the universe.. ?? can u imagine, earth is spinning really really fast, nothing underneath planet, nothing supporting, left, right, top or bootom, yet its under control, not hitting each other planets, how??
