When someone cheats on their partner, most people seem to think only the person cheating bears responsibility, and the person s/he is cheating with bears no responsiblity. But the cheatee does seem to be potentially responsible for causing someone unhappiness (albeit maybe a stranger). So... is it sometimes, always, or never morally wrong to sleep with someone who is in a relationship? (Maybe we are not talking about a marriage and a full blown affair but merely a one-off instance of cheating)

DUH,,, Right or Wrong are obviously in the sense of each who engage. We all engage in both. How we define our wants and needs, and express them, might be classified by others as right or wrong.

Honesty is as difficult as it gets, in living, but at the end of every day, it's the best way to live.

We all bear guilt on many levels. How we live with it, for whatever reasons we chose to take on the guilt, or inappropriate, immoral, unethical behaviors, might only be circumstantial, situational, and not habitual.

If you are fully aware that someone is already in a relationship and you cheat with that person, you are taking on the moral baggage of contributing to the wrong doing.

It is always wrong to cheat whether you're the one in the relationship or the one who is free but knows the other person isn't.

I don't think so. Maybe it is just okey because you are not yet committed anyway..
And anybody who is not committed to somebody has every right to do what he/she pleases.
But to the one with a relationship, then that would be morally wrong for her/him.
Then at this point you share some guilt feelings with him/her

In my opinion, any cheating is wrong....if you love the person you are with then you wouldn't hurt that person....and cheating on them would hurt them so yes cheating is wrong....all forms of it. Its all cheating. But I guess if that is what you like to do and you are fine with it.....then whatever......floats your boat.......

yes it is wrong. but what the other don't know wont hurt and if it's on/off thing it's less likely to get caught. apparently they are not in love to cheat . when you are in love you want no one else.

Yes it is wrong. Don't do it unless you like being a home wrecker and that will leave you all alone and with tons of hurt.
