It is very sad. But whats even more so is after becoming a father he continuously kept putting his life at risk and now his kids don't have a dad. He could of took less chances and still been successful at his job. There are some things you change about yourself when you become a parent. He just could have been more careful.

i'm bummed out, too. What separates him from Tim Treadwell is that Irwin fairly knew about the animals he became interpreting, and in no way plagiarizing what others had written. He also handed on that recognize-the thanks to others. real, Irwin did positioned himself unnecessarily in harms way. As a father, he must have all started showing a touch extra own duty for his own safe practices because, once you grow to be a figure, your existence is not in basic terms your own, yet your baby's to boot.

Yes, its is very sad. But I'm sure he did a lot within his life time for wildlife etc simply by increasing awareness and interest.

If its a consolation, at least he went doing what he love.

I really hope Terry would continue his legacy.

Yes it is. You never know when death is coming the people you think will last obviously have to go sometime too.I didn't believe it when I heard about it because that was my favorite show and he was a nice guy and his kids are still young.I don't know what it feels like to lose someone you love I can only imagine.

Its extremely sad. Plus its more ironic that he was killed by a stingray, a fish, instead of a massive croc. My prayers and thoughts go out to his wife, daughter, and son as well as his family and millions of international fans.

Very Sad, he was a true animal lover. Very rarely you find people who have good knowledge, and great love for animals.

I feel sad, but not surprised. He really pushed the envelope with risky animal encounters.
