There is always a reason and only GOD KNOWS!!!
That is really really sad. I heard it was from a STING RAY and he died in his sleep. That is crazy because he has been around more dangerous animals then that. When it is time for you to go there is no answers just ?????. My heart goes out to his wife, daughter age 7, and son age 2.

I just saw that on the Yahoo home page. That is so sad. It just breaks may heart. My whole family loves watching his shows. He was always so smart and funny. And he was so full of life. What a tragedy!! My heart really goes out to his whole family. I know many prayers for them will go out. May he rest in peace...

i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

Steve Irwin is bigger than life. He knew what he stood for and he knew what he stood against. He will be missed.
I have to reflect on those who do not yet know the meaning of life and their own mortality. Let us not be well wishers to those who have started that journey, for each of us is standing in the line, we know not where.

CRIMIEY!!!!!
Sad? yes. Earth shaking? Hardly.
Life goes on, get over it!
Some of you people act like you actually KNOW him.
Can you not separate television from reality?

he did not die in vain he has taught us that you never turn your back on anything. he taught children so much. its a shame he has taught them now about death. so many shows make it look easy to get close to animanls. i feel bad for his family and wish them the best.
