1.for 1000 names it will be fixed $185+1000(28) variable=$465
2.no of names=$(48000-185)/0.28=170768 names
3.fixed charges for 700 colleges=$185*700=$129500
variable charges=17,000,000-129500=$16870500
no of students=16870500/0.28=60251786
average no of mailings sent=60,251786/1,300,000=46.35

(28*1000)/100 = 280
185 + 280 = $465/1000 names

b:
(48000-185)*100/28 = 170,768 names

c:(17m - (700*185))*100/28 = 60,251,786 names
:. 60,251,786/1.3 = 46.348 pieces of mail each (average)
