Tony Blair is the most straight forward Prime Minister of my long life. I have faith in his decisions, I trust him 100 per cent. I suppose you would rather have a Thatcherite, a Heath or such. If you think that you could do better than Mr. Blair, go into politics and aim for high office. You will find that it is a lonely place with everyone trying to drag you down when you are making decisions on behalf of the country. I will be sorry to see him go..

The better question is why haven't people in the US demanded the impeachment of GWB after his administration manipulated Iraq intelligence data (then blamed the intelligence services for it), ignored the rational pleas of the UN to wait before invading, and then started this international war anyway. And dragged the UK along. (At least the UK was somewhat involved at the get-go in that they were one of the European powers given the "mandate" to administer the Middle East in post-WWII)

Then GWB keeps the US in the war with one propaganda statement after another, the latest being 'it's not a civil war.' (if you're not sure of this, consider reading the book "Fiasco" (recently published book based on interviews with US military that have served in Iraq).

Why is the US sitting on our backsides?

The resignation of Blair and Prescott is not enough. All that would happen is that they would be replaced by another bunch of incompetents. What we REALLY need is a revolution to change the system, rather than merely changing the personnel within the existing system.

It is the system itself that is wrong!!!! What we really need is a SOCIALIST REPUBLIC!!! - I am Chief Commissar!!!!

People in the UK are too wrapped in their personal problems. Some couples are too busy ensuring that the children get good grades at the 11+, GCSEs, A-levels and are always taking them to after-school clubs, kumon maths class, birthday parties or buying birthday presents for their classmates. Others are too busy buying and selling houses, having extensions built, having new floors laid, waiting for deliveries of furniture or electrical appliances which take forever, being kept waiting for their enquiries to be answered, shopping around for the best insurance policies, having affairs or fighting each other over custody of their children. Single ones are too busy going clubbing, getting drunk, playing games on the computer, buying clothes and working to pay off debts and credit card bills. Old folks are too busy worrying about paying their fuel bills or not getting NHS treatments. How can we find time to worry about political issues?

Because we're the bloody English..we never complain to loudly, we never 'rebel' in the same way the rest of Europe does..Thats seen as a 'French' thing

And who else is their? We have no other decent leaders..Blair has become a mockery of himself in the past 4 years, but before then he was a fantastic prime minister. I thin ktheirs a great air of sadness when people discuss Blair's past

Fat lot of good that would do! Besides, if you got the other crowd in, their politics, especially their foreign politics, wouldn't be one iota different from what you've got now. That's the really sad thing. And that hardly anybody considers the Liberals. At least they would not be stuck with their tongues to the US president's backside (I hope).

hmmm, this is interesting. i've always wanted blair to go but i don't know how to go about it. if i send a letter to no 10 they'd probably read it and chuck it in the bin afterwards. like yourself, i would love to do something to echo my discontent with the way labour have f***ed up this country. i am slightly worried that people will take the piss out of me and give me abuse. yet if all of us who hate blair get together by first spreading the word and hopefully those blair haters will join in, maybe we should then share our ideas and put them into action. i like your thoughts on this! i am clearly sick of the sight of tony 'i am a saviour of the world but really i am a warmonger' blair bleating on and on when really, i ought to ask 'who really cares anymore?' because you don't and i don't.

For what? There have been major protests about his "bad" decisions...people do make their opinions heard but why try to get resignation....don't make the mistake of thinking that we all think the same as you!

Actually we didn't sit on our backsides. I distinctly remember voting in a general election in the not too distant past... why would we elect them then demand their resignation?
