no!that is something that people use all the time for making necklace. The only way that it will turn a different color is if it has a black tornish color on the copper wire

There is a liquid you can brush on the metal to stop it being exposed to the air but I cannot remember its name. Give the people at Fire Mountain Gems a call to see if they can advise you and also if they sell that liquid or a similar alternative.

yes. i made a ring out of copper and it turned my finger green. It will fade though

Well, sure. First, you'll turn red, then blue and purple, then after a while, white. But by the time you turn white, it's too late to realize that you should have loostened it.

use clear fingernail polish it will keep it from making your neck green. Just re-apply as needed.
