ancient sears rider mower tire willnot come off mower.got tire off of rim and replaced innertube now i cannot put tire back on rim.please help

Use a grease on the rim and the bead of the tire. You are lucky you do not have a 4" like is on a Snapper. They do go on if you try hard enough.

You will probably have to take it to a shop. Service station of some sort. Someone who changes tires or repairs them. They have a special tool that puts the tire on the rim.

use your tire tool from your car and soap the tire first. Be careful of the tub just ease it in don't try and force it you will blow the tube!
