"Sitting on the Dock of the bay", but I'd only sing the second line because X Factor would be me "Sitting here just wasting my time"
Why just look for singers? What's wrong with comedians, musicians, magicians and dancers? Bring back the PROPER talent shows like New Faces or Opportunity Knocks. The people who won those shows 20 years ago are still performing and doing well, even some of those who came second!

Either
1. Let it be -Great song showing vocal range
2. Right here waiting -Because virtually everyone that sings it goes through
3. walking in memphis- Shows adapting to the tune
4. I don't wanna be (OC tune)- Just a good song
I wouldn't go on the show anyway because I can't sing. It would be funny to be a guest Judge though, like Paula Abdul

I would go on X-Factor with a 40,000 strong choir of Welsh rugby supporters and sing Land of My Fathers. Why? Because it is the one and only anthem which puts the fear of God up the NZ All-Blacks - The Hakka will not save them from this.

If I were to audition for X Factor i would sing "feeling good" by nina simone and covered by muse.
I'd sing it because it suits my voice. Plus blues and motown songs etc always go down well.

I wouldn't. I would have enough self-respect and pride to walk out of the studio. (hate that programme and all of the Y-list celebs that it produces. Only Big brother contestants are lower, in my book)
At karaoke, though, it's a different story.
I'd sing "sweet Child of Mine" By GnR
or "Numb", "breaking the habit" By Linkin Park
or "Broken" By Seether and Amy Lee.

Umm, I'd probably sing Billy Dee by Kris Kristofferson or Sea Of Heartbreak by Johnny Cash, as they are 2 of the only songs that I don't totally murder.
