i made this wesite for a game called counter-strike, i added rss, added it go google search, and have a chat room, forum and server for it. But after doing all of this it still is unknown. How can i improve the hits for the site and is there any thing else i should add to it?

First of all you need content, you will never be given page rank if you don't add content that is valued by your visitors. If you have any website experience the most important part is SEO which the biggest part is keywords.
Without keywords you will be like 95% of the websites on the internet, you will be never found. Just because your website may look "awesome" doesn't mean that it makes the grade with the search engines.
Suggestion, put the effort into your website that will create popularity not only with the Search Engines but also your human visitors. Try a subscription to Wordtracker if you are looking for keywords.

Well, it's a great looking site. Promotion is probably the key, as well as constantly updating and improving content.

maybe you need more advertising prowess than what you did or what you are doing right now.do you have a friendster?maybe you can put it and advertise it there or you can just simply create a public blog containing your website and its contents.you can also use yahoo ads.if youre the rich guy type,you can post billboards...

Register on myspace.com, advertise your site on there and add all kinds of friends, tons and tons and you'll get hits.
