Is anyone else beginning to get frustrated at the lack of answers in Lost? It started out as a really good TV show, in the first series, but now it is becoming more tedious and annoying as the writers are giving no answers, but more questions.
Do the writers have any idea where the show is going, or are they drifing aimlessly in thier storylines, hoping they may have an idea for an explanation sometime in the future? I seem to be missing more and more episodes, as I just can't be bothered to watch them!!
Do you think we will get any answers??
P.S - I am in the UK, therefore am only halfway through the 2nd series, don't know if we get a brilliant explantion at the end of the series.

I agree that the show has to have a few questions to keep the audience hanging, but in the second series, they have went completely over the top and have introduced loads of questions with absolutely no answers, to the original mysteries, and now the whole thing has dissolved into nonsense.

Yeah I know what you mean! I heard on the grapefine that it was originally going to be only 2 serie long but due to it being popular and America's fixation with greed they have decided to prolong it. Hence the reason why it's now dragging out and why they've changed people characters slightly to suit their plot lines! WHEN WILL AMERICAN'S REALISE THAT QUALITY IS BETTER THAN QUANTITY!

Good point. I have friends who loved series one but have given up with series 2 as it is getting ridiculous. I watched 1 and have two on DVD but have yet to watch it. Couldn't stop after 1 but if what my friends say 2 will be it.
Maybe the writers are destroying the show by trying to be to clever.
you can only have to much of a good thing though.
The 24 series is an example but they have a little more to work with in regards to plots. Jacks days are numbered though.
Alias is another show that is brilliant. We will always have shows of that calibre around.
Bit like the Bold and the Beautiful and the Young and the restless I suppose they have their cult followings.
Two shows that got me in were X files and V (now thats a oldie)

TV shows are all about ratings.
Lost is one of the most watched TV shows in USA and the world.
Like you I still have no clue and all the answers I have concluded or perceived from watching the complete 2 seasons are just scattered fractions.
I think if we knew what’s the show is all about there will be no advantage for the producers to attract viewers.
At the end of the 2nd season you’ll get some answers but boy, these answers will raise tons of other questions.

Someone told me last week that in America the ratings are sky high & the makers are making shed loads of money, so they've planned 8 series. So it wouldn't surprise me if the 3rd series is even more annoying.
I've read what happens at the end of the 2nd series. It sounds good, but as for the whole series you don't get many answers at all.

The programme is planned on till the end of the third season so far. The idea of a TV programme is that it can continue on forever, however Lost is particularly slow especially compared to the extremely fast paced Alias which was made by the same people. There are big things to come before the end of the second season!

i'm in the uk but got the series free from an american mate so i'm ahead of u guys ... all i have to say is there are more questions yet again, but i find the series gripping and interesting and thoroughly enjoy every minute of it.
Whether you are losing interest or not, it is imperative that you tune in to channel 4 this tuesday, no argument, for a completely unexpected gut punch! All i'll say is it involves Michael in the hatch. You must watch.

I have seen to the end of second series and it's just the same until you get to the very last scene of the very last episode, if you don't watch any more you must watch that.

Oh they will give us answers but as usual for TV it will be dragged out for as long as possible before ratings hit rock bottom, guess we just have to keep watching in the hope they drop a juicy tidbit
