I was looking on Yahoo! Groups for a plant and seed trader for the whole US, but couldnt find one. Do you know of any?

I started one myself, but if I can find one that has already been started Id rather just do that because I have no members right now! lol.

So if you know of a good Yahoo! Group that trades seeds and plants, please let me know!

In the mean time, if you want to join mine here is the link:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/plant_and_seed_trader/

If I dont have enough people join in the next month Ill shut it down, so I really hope someone else out there already has an established group!

Where in the word did you hear that was illegal??? I buy plants and seeds off of eBay all the time, and not just from businesess. I have sent my mom plants through the mail and talked to the post office people about it and they never said anything about it being illegal. CERTAIN PLANTS, yes, but not all of them. From what Ive seen it seems to be the biggest problems with water plants, like water lettuce and water hyacinth. IN some states I think duckweed also because it clogs waterways. As far as other plants, I have never heard of that. From out of the country, yes, customs can cause some problems but from states to state, no I have never heard that and if that is the case PLEASE point me in the direction of your sources for that information.

Maybe one of these will interest you. You could also check out Garden Web and Garden Here. Both are big plant and seed trading forums.

(( I've been trading plants and seeds for over 2 yrs and I've never had any problems with trading over state lines))

You just may not find one, because it is against the law for individuals to migrate seeds and plants across statelines w/o a permit.

look for your local garden club. every year mine has a plant sale, and its the splits , seedlings etc from every ones yards.. and they charge form 10 cents to $1 for some great plants... and for the seller.. its open to everyone, so they walk away with a nice chunk if change!!!
