It's been YEARS since I had it pierced, but I think it's a 16. It didn't hurt much at all, the second time. The first time the chick used a clamp, twisted my tragus down and pushed the needle through, that technique hurt. It got infected and I had to take it out and do it over again. This time I went to my usual tattooist. He used a tube behind it and was confused when I told him the chick used a clamp the first time. And he was done before I knew it.

I love mine though. I have my tragus on my right ear and my conch on my left. One more thing, after it healed I took the jewelry out and put in a piece that I think is called a mini. I forget, honestly. The bar is much smaller. I prefer that one because it doesn't bother me when I'm sleeping.

The minor pain you feel is NOT the problem. You have to take care of the area several times a day to make sure you don't get an infection.

Be sure the "earring" you use is surgical steel until the area is totally healed. After it is healed you can change the size.

Why don't you just put an arrow through your head? Piercing is so 90's.
