Why won't my receiver respond after I hooked a cable from my pc to it?

I hooked a cable to my pc (blue) and to a my receiver (red/white)
and tried to get a radio station to play through the speakers
already hooked to it. Whay could I be doing wrong?

It just don't work that way. Try to find someone with technical knowledge to explain what should you do.
