absolutely i check my kids backpacks everyday and they cant hide anythign from me i can legally search thier rooms while they are at school also there is no legallity for a child to say that thier parents cant go through thier stuff adn if more parents actually did take an interest in thier children and looked through thier stuff here and there then maybe more children wouldnt have as many problems with drugs drinking sex and all the other things that go with a adolescent life

Of course. As long as the child is under your care, you have the full right to search their things.

I hope so, I do daily.....
Without them knowing it too..
If they object, it's YOUR house, and YOUR the parent.

Kids today think that they have so many rights, when in fact, they are MINORS and are under the control of the PARENTS, rather they like it or not.

To many parents do not know what their kids are into and need to be more of a parent than a friend..

I do it sporadically. I don't care if it's legal or not. (And I'm sure there is no law against it.)
