I doubt that you really won that even though the site said that you did. My junk email folder always has mail with headlines like "You won a free laptop." They are all frauds to try to either scam you out of something (like a shipping charge for the non-existent laptop's delivery) or get just enough details to grab your identity for credit card fraud. Don't even bother to follow up - a free laptop is not going to happen.

I went onto a site a few weeks ago and yes, surprise surprise, I'd won a laptop! SO I PLAYED ALONG WITH IT....... "Proceed to next page..." [PNP] where they wanted all my details. PNP, and I had to tick THREE items that I would wish to subscribe to or buy given a choice. I ticked... PNP, and I had to select only TWO this time, except that they were three times the price of the first lot. So I ticked,... PNP... "Select only one to qualify for your free laptop..." and this was something which, together with the price of all the other items I'd had to 'buy' (they wished!!!) came to more than the price of a quite expensive laptop. PNP...GUESS WHAT? ...."In order to qualify, you must agree to purchase all the aforementioned items by ticking here, then enter your credit card details in the boxes provided". I laughed out loud, made up some silly details and false numbers, but when it came to my name and address (AGAIN, please note) I wrote rubbish like M.Mouse, 15 Station Parade, Wapping-by-the-Sea, Nextown - and then pressed enter. I hope they enjoyed the laugh as much as I did. So by now, if you think you were EVER going to get a laptop, tell me what planet you're on, and I'll come and visit you sometime for a chat !!!

DOH..... you didn't fall for that scam did you.
If I filled out my details and got a lap-top every time I had a pop-up telling me I had won one then I could open up a computer shop.
Remember the saying, "If something sounds to good to be true, then it probably is"
Nothing is free in this world anymore. your being conned !!

How much did you give them for shipping? I am guessing the laptop was free as long as you paid the 100 pounds + shipping charges...

You didn't win a laptop, go buy one and enjoy but give up on this site, don't get sucked into the scam.

Don't send them one single penny/dime, nothing at all.
This is 99.9999% sure a scam and they will probably ask for postage, say you have to pay to get it released from customs or something similar, .
They'll ask for it via Western Union or similar and then you can wave good bye to your money.

It's a scam. Did they ask for your credit card number or bank account number, ostensibly for identity verification purposes? If they did, and you gave it to them, you're account would be empty by now. And they have your identity.
