As an Aussie I was shocked when I heard about Steve when I was at work. Man we have lost one of our greatest assets to Australia. Many of our thoughts go to his wife and to his kids. We were all talking about who will look after the animals now that Steve has gone and we were shocked to hear how he died. He has tackled Crocs, snakes etc and nothing was to dangerous for him, and for him to die from a stingray was unbelieveable. I know one thing I ain't swimming with the stingrays anymore. Where we go swimming there is always 1 or 2 hanging around.
God bless you Steve for everything you have done for the animals and for Australia. We will miss you Mate.

Yes. At first i just figured it was a hoax because he has been the butt of so many jokes over the years. I feel so bad for his wife and children. She was off hiking in Tanzania or someplace and was told of his death. She never got a chance to say goodbye or tell him she loved him. At least he died doing something he enjoyed. People around the world will miss him. He made learning interesting and fun and educated many people. God bless his soul and may he rest in peace.
