my neice has a turtle, she's had it since it was a baby from the petshop...
the turtle is now the size of a gratefruit and it seems its just 'merely existing'... she's had it for about 6 years now

please think twice before getting a turtle... they live 20+ years
make sure its not a pet that you'll get bored with after 5 years.
and as they turtle grows, so will the aquarium you put it in.

my sister and i both have 2 turtles each and they live for an average 30 years if they are healthy

If it's a real turtle you'll get fed up with it before it gets fed up with you because it'll grow to such a size you'll wish to God you'd never got the bloody thing!
