I got a scratch on my car and I sanded it out. I bought car spray paint. It was the wrong color by a couple of shades (but it's noticable). How do I remove the paint without ruining my cars real paint?

Helllllllp =)

Use some Rubbing compound. Turtle wax has a product. Rub on the unwanted shade of paint. It should remove the layers.

If the car's original paint is of the clear-coat variety then you will want to use clear-coat polishing compound not rubbing compound. You will have to go beyond the edges of the spot you are trying to get rid of therefore you need to know what type of paint is on the car.

HOPE IT NOT NEW! BUT TRY BODY WASH . AND TAKE IT TO A BODYSHOP ITS NOT SOMETHING YOU SHOULD DO ON YOUR OWN .I GET THE DO IT YOURSELFS JOBS ALL THE TIME AND IT MAKES IT THAT MUCH HARDER AND MORE EXPENSIVE FOR THE CUSTOMER. ALL CARS ARE WHAT THEY CALL BASE COAT CLEAR COAT AND IF YOU HAVEN'T WORKED WITH IT BEFORE DON'T DO IT.AND IF YOU DO IT IT WON'T SHINE OR MATCH BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO BLEND INTO THE NEXT PANEL AND ADD CLEAR. ANOTHER THING IF IT INSEN'T WORTH MUCH I SAY GO FOR IT! ..... GOOD L U C K......

Sand it down again. Or take it to a body shop. They could redo the entire spot, and you wouldn't even notice.
