When you are asleep, and someone or something hurts you, do you actually feel it? I had a horrible dream last night and i felt the pain for real. I was actually hurting when i woke up. Has that ever happened to you? Is that weird or uncommon?

Yes!!! Its so weird...I had a dream that I was being stabbed in the leg by some guy who was covered in all black....and I woke up and my leg hurt!!!

I've felt real 'emotional' pain in dreams. The kind where you still feel upset when you wake up. But I've never felt 'physical' pain that I could still feel when I woke up! That would be weird. And scary!

Yes. That's happened to me as well as feeling hunger, feeling as though I have to go to the bathroom (this happens often, i think because I really do), feeling lost and confused. Last night, I got my legs stuck in mud in my dream and couldn't get them out, no matter how hard I tried. That was painful. Twisting my legs to get my feet out, I could feel the torque in my knees. Weird stuff these dreams.

Once I saw the dream in which I was bitten by a dog, I felt it. So its not so normal but its fine to feel a pain.

i have nightmares almost every night, and in these nightmares i usually die in several different ways. sounds weird, but one night i get shot, the next i fall from a building, then i drown.
the weird thing is, it all seems so real! i even feel pain! and that's REAL pain weird enough..

i have had that many times ive had a dream that really hurt me i woke up with tears in my eyes. i once dreamt i was falling off a building i woke up jusr before i hit the ground and my heart was beating so fast

It's just your brain playing tricks on you. No, but I have dreams where I am run over by a big car and stuff like that and I just get up.

Yeah so bad sometimes that i wake up crying. The pain is that intense. It doesent happen EVERY night but it does happen ocassionally.

Its common.. I heard from friends that if you had a dream that you fell of somewhere, it meant that you are tired. I dreamt of being shot, felling of buildings then pain, followed by me waking up
