Now there's a challenge...

There is a fascinating field devoted to a phenomenon called 'synesthesia', which is a modified-perception condition that some studies say affects around 4% of the population. It takes various forms. Some people actually 'see' sounds, others see words (when pictured in their minds) in various colors -- but the color a word has never changes -- and other people have still other forms, like visualising odors, for example. There are many websites devoted to it, but if you start with Wikipedia you'll get a fair idea. Here's the link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia

It is hard to suggest a specific hypothesis before you have had a chance to look into the subject, but perhaps you could devise one that considers whether there is any link between gender and the condition, or alternatively you could consider race, people with disabilities, or socio-economic factors. It's also a fact that some people have it but have never really thought about it because they assumed 'everyone' has the same thing. For them, it's so normal and part of their life that they have never imagined that they are different.

If you do a survey you could actually find one or two synesthetes who didn't know they have it!

It's a very interesting phenomenon and I wish you luck with it if you choose to take it on. BTW, I am biased because I have the 'words in color' form. And yes, they always stay the same; it even applies to words I know in a foreign language! (My Mom has it too but in a slightly different form, but no-one else in our family has.)

Interesting challenge. OK, a few ideas:

Is the physiology of addictive behaviors comparable in cases of alcohol addiction and pornography addiction? If this hypothesis holds true, can the same techniques that have successfully been used to treat alcoholism be applied to these other forms of addiction?

If there is an 'optimal' stress level in work settings, does that level to achieve peak performance change based on sex, age, or some other factors?

Is there a consistent trigger event that causes 'cheating' amongst otherwise loyal spouses?

You need a topic before you can write a hypothesis. "Psychology" is a rather broad topic!! You need to narrow it down to something manageable in a 10 page paper. After you have a topic, you can then write a hypothesis.

Chow!!

How about this: "Early and Extreme Exposure to Sexual Images and Dialogue is Robbing America's Children of the Innocence of Childhood." You could write a book on it.

Perhaps Write something on the Difference between a "Psychiatrist", and a "Psychologist". One is an MD, I believe, and one isn't. One can write prescriptions for medicine, and one can't, I believe.
