I think the best player in the NHL hockey league is Joe Thornton, and the best Goaltender is Martin Brodeur, and If the circumstances where different the season before last I think Todd Bertuzzi would have been at the top of his game.

Alexander Ovechkin. A.O. is the future of the NHL and will attract more fans because of his stick skills, speed skating and he is not afraid to collide with the biggest of defenders. Ovechkin is the best player in hockey no matter what anyone says.

Crosby is better than Ovechkin, and is hockey's next Gretzky. They both had about the same number of points last season, but Crosby is 2 years younger than Ovechkin. Give it another couple of seasons and Crosby will widen the gap.
